Is suborbital travel a real space travel?

6 months 2 days ago #13 by black_velvet
Space travel is fast becoming a reality and is no longer a science fiction. There are many companies offering space travel to willing people.

There seems to be two option being offered to travelers. 1. Suborbital travel 2. Orbital travel.

In suborbital travel passengers are taken to about 300K feet height with the help of a rocket in a space capsule/ship. There passengers experience micro gravity for a few minutes and the capsule then capsule falls back to earth or ship returns to earth.

In orbital travel passengers are taken to orbital heights of 400 Km (1.3M feet) in a space capsule attached to a rocket, there they spend a few days on a Space station and then return to Earth.
